Case Goods Furniture Care & Cleaning

  Each piece of the McMichael furniture is made to give exceptional ease of use with minimal care. Attention to the basics below   will ensure the furniture stay with you for a long time to come

  1. Fine wooden furniture should not be exposed to the extreme heat or humidity. Please do not place the unit near any heat       outlet or open window. Also avoid direct sunlight, which may fade finishes.
   
  2. Do not put hot plastic, rubber, ceramics or hot objects on the wood surface. The chemicals in plastic or rubber may discolor       the finish. Use felt or cork under the utensils when placing it on the furniture. 

  3. Every six months, please do the thorough cleaning of the furniture besides dusting. Use any furniture cleaning product       available in market by following the cleaning directions on the product. It is also advised to use furniture polish in this case.

  4. In case of spills, you should clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth in the direction of the grain.

  5. Remove dust by using a soft and clean cloth. Remember to wipe with the grain. You may use polishing products by       following the instructions on the product. Do not use any products that might leave film on the furniture surface as it might       cause clouding of the finish and collect dust.

  6. It is recommended that you occasionally polish the furniture with a high-quality non-silicone polish product so as to enhance       the finish of your McMichael furniture units. Do not use any oily polishes or wax.

  7. For glasses, metals or brass fixtures, please use damp cloth for cleaning.
